It's soooooooo cold!

A voice inside my head says 'suck it up, you choose to live here.' Then, the other voice says 'but this isn't right for any species. No wonder dinosaurs are extinct!'
Good thing I have a third voice in my head to balance it all out. Yeah, it's cold here and we're going into the deep freeze of winter this weekend without a doubt. So, what do you do when it's so cold?

My top 5 things NOT to do when it's this cold outside:
5. Don't: throw snowballs this week- in this weather they're ice balls!
4. Don't: run a lot of water outside and make a home-made luge. Cars might have a hard time seeing children flying at high rates of speed.
3. Don't: take a dare to run partially naked outdoors - no matter what! You'll really regret it and if it's attached to your body when you start you probably need it.
2. Don't: play poker with Matt even though he looks innocent, he'll shark you and I'm so not kidding!
1. Definitely Don't: lick the slide or flagpole!

My top 5 things TO DO when it's this cold outside:
5. Play a game with your family. They'll love you, even if the little one cheats.
4. Get the nerf guns out. Less injuries, same satisfying feeling!
3. Line the stairs with Star Wars guys, wait downstairs and then have the kids yell 'Dad, we need you right away- someone's hurt!' Have you ever seen a guy literally FLY on the stairs? We have. The aftermath wasn't as fun, though.
2. Surf the Web with the kids. A recent fave site? Almost Naked Animals!
1. Curl up by a fire and grab a kiddo, a book, maybe a movie and cocoa. Then remember the moment forever.
