One WILD night!

Talk about a great night! Thanks to my boss and friend, we had tickets to go to the Minnesota Wild player reception in St. Paul last night. Think of this: just us, about 200 other people and the ENTIRE WILD TEAM! Tyler and Heidi went with friends and had a great, great time.

Highlights of the evening:
- A visit with the stanley cup (is it gazing into the future??) ;-)
- Playing bubble hockey with the Wild players (yes- they cheat, too)
- Getting a Wild jersey signed by ALL the Wild players and more!

Best yet, we received a follow-up call today. We signed up for a drawing... and WON! What did we win? A 1980 Olympic Team jersey signed by the ENTIRE TEAM! Crazy, crazy. How lucky are we to live in the state of hockey!?!

Snow Day!

Unbelievable. Yesterday we had warm weather and there wasn't much snow to be found unless you were looking in those hard-to-find places where the snow doesn't melt until May anyway.

As luck would have it we got our 'tournament' storm today. What we find funny about the term 'tournament storm' is that everyone says in the month of March there will be one great storm, somewhere around tournament time. Digging deeper most will realize March is the host month to boys state hockey tournaments, girls state hockey tournaments, and both boys/girls baskeball state tournaments. So basically it could storm anytime during the month and be the 'tournament storm.' Very funny if you ask us.

So what did we do today? What else- we played in it! Both boys had school cancelled so we embraced Minnesota weather, strapped on our boots and hit the great outdoors. Speculation has us with 14" of snow in less than 24 hours.

Fresh off the truck from Mexico

Hey again, we're fresh back from vacation by just a couple of weeks. We took a family trip with Frank & Denise to Cancun in a 'first ever' getaway. As luck would have it, Frank and Matt have never taken an overlapping vacation due to the Warehouse! 2006 is a year of firsts! So it is- we visited Cancun and had a great time. We were fortunate enough to have our health, reasonably great weather and a lot of fun. Check out our photos: http://www.kodakgallery.com/tuneberg .

Squirt B District 8 Champs!!

Tyler got some great news today- they are the official District 8 Hockey champs, finishing the regular season of Squirt B hockey with the best record in the district (only two losses so far, not bad!). We are getting ready for a week of playoffs that'll start this weekend. Hang on everyone - we're ready to go!
